Pros: Great action, strong but light
Cons: line cuts cushion in from of reel

This is an excellent specialized rod. It is designed to work with braid and vertical jigs (like the Shimano Butterfly Jig). At first glance I looked at the thin diameter of the rod and say no way it is rated for #200 line - but it is very strong yet has a fast action tip so it imparts action to the jig even at deep depths. I have the #65 - 200 lbs conventional reel model and use the shimano and similiar butterfly jigs. It works very well for vertical jigging - you can work the entire water column with it or just keep fluttering the jig in a certain range. The flutter seems to attact fish and the rod allows for a sure hook set just about evry time. I've caught grouper, mackerel, tuna and even a mahi on this rod. Only draw back is on a really heavy fish the braided line will touch the cushion just in front of the reel seat and cut it slightly.
