Pros: It works
Cons:

My boat came with one installed. The first one failed within 2 months. I've had the second one for two years now with no problems. It's easy to clean with the pop-off intake mount. Be sure to clean and rinse it off regularly like any other device exposed to the elements, esp. in saltwater.
