The Coronado, featuring Okuma's patented bait feeding system, is becoming THE REEL in live-bait-spinning-reel circles. These high performance inshore and offshore reels are made to stand up to the toughest conditions. They overbuilt these reels everywhere that they could. The Coronado uses machine cut stainless steel gears--the only bait feeding style reel in the world to do so! The Coronado main-shaft is oversized and stainless. The machined aluminum spool has been ported to reduce weight, and is fitted with a waterproof drag seal to protect the oil soaked felt and stainless steel drag system from the environment. Okuma even treats the stainless steel rotor bearings with a special corrosion resistant coating for additional protection, because they know what prolonged exposure to salt can even do to stainless steel. The full series features Okuma's Quick Set anti-reverse system for rock solid hook sets.
