I give the Manns Hardnose just slightly lower grade than the horny toad.
The head does exactly what they say it will - it grabs and holds the hook and does not tear up nearly as easily as a single density bait. I was actually surprised at how hard it is to pull the hook through then back out of the head. This was exactly what I had hoped to find after losing so many Horny Toads prematurely. Unfortunately I believe the solid head generates more vibration in the hook point and tends to tear up the body long before the head is done.
The legs are a little longer and spindly-er and don't make quite as much commotion as the Horny Toad. The legs seem to catch more air and it feels like a little lighter bait so it doesn't seem to cast quite as well as the Horny Toad.
The skinny head may shed weeds & scum better than the fat head of the Horny Toad. Might be a better bait for dragging over the muck.
They are scented, which is a bonus (sort of a mild anise if I recall correctly).
I have definitely caught fish on the Green Pumpkin & Watermelon Candy, but have not gotten anything on the bull frog with the chartreuse legs. That kind of surprised me. Over all have not felt quite as confident with the Mann's frogs as with the Zoom, but
