Description: * A-RB (Anti-Rust Bearings) are specially treated stainless steel ball bearings that are at least 10 times more corrosion resistant than standard stainless steel ball bearings.

* Aluminum Frame

* Graphite Sideplate

* Graphite Rotor (except for models 12000 and 14000 which are aluminum).

* Cold Forged Aluminum Spool provides increased strength and durability.

* Flat T Type handle configuration.

* Rubber Handle Grip is comfortable and soft to the touch.

* TI Spool Lip reduces friction during the cast and increases durability for both the reel and the line.

* Metal Series Metal frames keep moving parts in precise alignment for increased efficiency and durability.

* Power Roller III is an oversized line roller that reduces twist from casting and retrieving, and uses a cone-shaped support to help get the line onto the roller quicker.

* Aerowave (3000-8000 models only) uses the strength of a standard oscillation system and the multiple speeds similar to that found on a worm-drive system to provide excellent line lay with awesome durability.

* Aerowrap (12000 and 14000 model only) Worm drive oscillation wraps the line onto the spool in a criss-cross pattern to reduce friction and increase casting distance.

* Super Stopper II is a one-way roller bearing that eliminates backplay for solid hooksets, yet can be turned on or off to allow back-reeling.

* Waterproof Drag is sealed against the intrusion of the elements, such as water or dust.

* Fluidrive II uses the successes of Fluidrive, but also uses a polishing process to increase tooth contact for increased efficiency.

* Dyna-Balance similar to balancing a tire, we use counterbalancing techniques in the rotor to eliminate wobble during the retrieve.

Pros: Hols up to saltwater, smooth drag
Cons: heavy

I have several of these on my surf casting rods. They work very well and have held up well. They have very smooth drags, a decent retrieve ratio and a nice grip. They are a little heavy but that is the price you pay for the protection from the saltwater.
