Friday morning we struck out to catch some trout and then go tangle with the school of old drum we had been on for a few weeks. My friend Matt had never caught a big one. By 10:00 am we had accomplished all goals with a nice limit of trout and 7 oldies. We decided to go pick up my daughter and his son from school and head back out since the weather was so good.
After returning to the drum grounds it took little time to get hooked up and let my five year old go at it. She has been fishing with me a lot lately and she gave it a go for a few minutes with my help. I was as proud as I could possibly be.
At days end we had had a great trip I know these kids will always remember. They are our future and it is up to us to show them the way.
