About 2 casts later, my Cotton Cordell Red Fin gets SLAMMED and my Battle 2500 starts screaming. Fish made a turn sideways and showed itself and I couldn't believe it. Every time I'd get it close she'd take back off or glue herself to the bottom. Finally get her in the net, remove the lure, get a measurement (33") and take a few photos. Get her back in the water and attempt to revive her but after 5 mins without 1 kick, I made the call to toss her in the cooler.

Caught fish all thoughout the day and ended with a total of 35. We took home our 4. Made our way by the Roanoke Sportsman on the way back to have the big girl weighed. She topped out at 16 lbs 10 oz. An absolutely incredible day on some new waters. Can't wait to try it again next weekend.

Very nice. Looks like the Cape Fear River even though you referenced the Roanoke Sportsman.
