Lets start with a good fishing report. Weather has been horrendous with wind but opportunities are available. Back creeks are holding some trout; most small which will be great for spring, and a mix of nice fish. A lot of fun with potential to eat a little.

Dale and Fred have found some nice fish in the back creeks and Me and Michael had a good day no matter the wind was howling. We found these fish hitting our DOA jigs tight to the bottom. Bite was tough the feel with all the wind but when we got in position to work jigs like I wanted Bang. We had about 10 trout and 6-8 rock in a couple of hours.

Rock should continue to be the target in New Bern as spawn travels gears up. Again, DOA jigs and Rapala sub surface has been my choices. Dont be surprise to hit a bonus eater with a really nice crappie or white perch. Keep a light action rod handy with a small jig; Storm Wildeye Shad works well, for those slight bites.
Back to shows. Raleigh Fishing Expo was an experience. There was loads of people and meet some great possible customers with some spending a few dollars in my booth. I was promoting the Gary Loomis TFO spinning rods; the best rod on the marking at an affordable price.

This past weekend was back in Raleigh to spend $$$ for the Big Rock (Henry's) Tackle Show. Found some good deals this year and will be restocking shop as it arrives. I will be carrying a good assortment of Rapala and DOA baits along with my regular Mirrolure selection, Kunnan, TFO, Daiwa, and Okuma stock. I have some light rubber ghost nets and drum nets coming too.

AND, am back supplied up for winter with MUD MINNOWS. Filled tank yesterday after getting a few calls. For White Perch guys, there are some small ones in the mix too.

Call ahead you get help on winter schedule, busy doing other things FISHING too. Charter bookings are coming in so lets go call to book an 2012 trip for rock, trout, drum or cobia.

ALSO, Myself and Capt Gary Dubiel are having a Striper Seminar in New Bern on the 26 Feb (Sunday). It is an all day informative affair to help you put more rock in the boat. Only $25 a seat with only 60 seats. Let me know if you need a ticket or additional information. Some nice prizes given away too.
