Raymond I know you fish mere scott quite a bit so I thought you would be the one to ask. I am going camping at the lake this weekend do you have any advise on where to locate a few crappie. Do they run up the creek arms to shallower water to spawn? I may end up bass fishing if I can't find some sizable 9 in crappie.

    Thanks. Any info will help

Hi, I was wondering when Kerr Scott starts to pick in the spring. I'm planning on doing a little fishing up there from a recreational kayak that I've rigged up. Thanks!

I just joined today. I hope if we run into each other you will share some of the luck you had on Saturday. Those where some great fish!

I don't have a boat so I fish from the bank at Smithy Creek on Saturday's and Sunday's. I aim for bass with cranks lipped and lipless and work a few spinners from time to time. I catch a few of those white bass and blue gill. It has been alittle slow the past two weeks. I fished almost every weekend there since early Spring. I fished as a kid with my dad all the time and decided to pick it back up this year. I only live about 20 minutes from the lake and thought it was time to go back to doing something I loved so much when I was younger. If you know any hotspots that I can get to on foot that would be great.

Well I did take som pics, now it is funny. But at the time it wasn't.I had tony with me,my little grandson with me.The little boy standing in frount of the white door on my pic's.We were walleye fishing, been there about 3hrs.Tony finaly stoped playing and started fishing. He landed a nice big walleye with a little help from me.I went to get my cam'.It wasn;t there. So I asked tony where it was.He said grandpa I know where it is at.So I said buddy where is it.He pointed over there,to the outher sid of holland bay.Where we first started,he droped it over the side of the boat.He looked at me and said grandpa if you hold me I'll get it out of the warter. It's just over there where we was at.We have done been gone from that spot for at least a hour.I haven't got anouther one yet.I;m going to,but have had some bad luck with them.

    Raymond,
I've been absent for a long time so I applogize. I to am trying to learn to use plastics and not success. We have a fishing friend, we met ( Paty & I ) at the hot hole in Belmont. This guy uses plastics and limits on Bass everytime we see him. James, just has the touch. He can be fishing next to two or three people, and he will score the Bass. I haven't seen him catch anything less than 3 and many more over that. I think he spits on the Green Lizard he normally uses, and that's the key. He is open and has shown me his thing, so if I ever have the success he has I will share it with you. Makes me crasy, to be near him and he plunks one out, using the same plastic.
he uses Californai rig, 3/4 ounce oval, and mostly green lizard. Hope- fully by now you found the secret and are the plastic bass master.
    Talk to you later.

    Raymond,
Thanks for the nudge ! I haven't visited the sire in awhile. Busy working and fishing when I can. Been fisning for cats mostly as my loves catching them. We either release or give them to folks around that are there to catch dinner. We are now tryingto learn to bass fish using carolina and texas rigged plastics. Just bought new gear more appropriate for this.
I'll be posting more and putting some photo's up. YOu made me feel guilty - Thanks
