    Hey...just saw your message.. I find early morning to be the most productive time. (Sunrise to about 10-11am. depending on the cloud cover). I mark fish with my finder and then cast or vertical jig. I stick to the deep channels or just off them. I use a 5 inch zoom fluke in pearl or smokin' shad color with a dipped tail in dip-it garlic in chartreuse, on a chartreuse head jig head.(1/4 oz to 1/2 oz) I like the 1/2 because it keeps the jig closer to vertical. The fish are pretty spread out with the water warming up.

    Thanks for the info. I will be in touch with you when i get to greenville for sure. Maybe we can go fishing some time. What kind of yak do you have?

    There are pretty of fishing spots in greenville.

    Lake/Pond:
    River Park North (highly recommanded)

    River:
    Town Common (tar river bank fishing)

    Kayak Fishing
    Port Terminal Creek and Tar River
    Masons Landing (Clarks Neck Road, Washtington) for tranters creek or down stream to tar/pamlico river

    If you are looking to get a fishing kayak, Capt. Mike of River Time Outfitter has a wide variety of kayak for sale. He will rig it for you if you purchase kayak from him.
