Had a very good trout day on the Neuse Monday. We didn't hit the water until around 1:30 and quit just a little before 5:00. Caught 40-50 fish with most between 16-19". My buddy was using a mirrolure tt 11 and I was using a jig rigged with a Z-man. Both caught fish. I usually rock fish this time of year but since rock season closed I have had to learn to trout fish more and this was my best trout day by far.
Now that it has really cooled off, I am finding the afternoon to be much more productive than the morning. As water temps gradually warm up through the day, that 3 degrees seems to make a big difference in the fish activity (especially when I find those muddy flats). Congrats...nice catch and a great day.
Is a 16oz a mini? The smallest in the picture is 15" the biggest is 19". We did not cull the 15" fish because we did not have a live well. I think i'm done posting on this site!
Sounded like a joke to me... I actually started to type the same thing before reading the rest of the comments. It was 100 percent a joke when I thought it. Nice haul
