    Default North of the Border

Back to Philpott in VA today with my son. Fishing was tough but we were able to manage a couple short Walleyes and a few bass. Bass were plump and appeared to be full of eggs. About time for the spawn I suppose.

Nice. That's such a nice looking lake I've been wanting to fish it for years and maybe scratch walleye off my bucket list.

I do, but I feel even better when my son catches them. Funny, he's 38 years old, but I still feel like I'm fishing with my "little boy". Quality fish are great, but quality time with my son is what it's about for me at this stage of my life.

I can't wait to take my little one fishing when he gets a little bigger. Time is flying already.
