    Default Philpott topo map

I could have sworn I saw a topo of Philpott Lake on Navionics not so long ago but not now. Am I getting older than I thought I was? Always wanted to try for walleye up there. Never have caught one and it's not that far from here.

I am by far an expert on that lake.. Have fished it a few times back when i was big into bass fishing. We used to catch them off of main lake points with rapalas/F18's on top.. Had to be at night! i know there are many that have good luck during the day, i just never did.

Nice going crabman. I just need to tag along with you some day. I may drive up there just to check out campsites when I have a free day. It looks like it has plenty but they could be RV parks for all I know.

A hotel might do it. I'm at the age when I can only fish four or five hours a day. When I was young I'd drop anchor in a cove on Buggs Island and sleep on the 14 ft v hull I had and start fishing at dawn.

On your smartphone you can download the app "Avenza Maps" and purchase a digital copy of this map then the app will use your phone GPS to show your position on the digital map. Cheap way to get mapping of the lake at only 7.99.

I haven't fished since I started to redo my boat. Maybe this will be the year.
