    Default Son with his first

With the weather forecast looking positive I decided yesterday would be a good opportunity to try and get my son on his first Drum. We hit the ramp around 3:00 hoping to get off the water early since it was a school night. First spot showed lots of promise with bait fish everywhere but nothing except bait steelers gave us the time of day. Moved on to spot #2 and after about an hour, hook up and the battle begins. After a good 10 minute fight and some very sore arms we boated his first Drum. He was excited to say the least and our trip was complete.

Drum was just over 40" and caught soaking cut bait

Gorgeous fish and nice picture capturing the moment. Definitely one for framing and mantle display.

    Grats.

Awesome work! Those 3:00 wake ups are tough on them at first, but after they see that fish, they understand why we do it!

3:00 AM? I'm thinking it was PM???
Doesn't matter because he will probably get up at 3:00AM from now on for a drum trip.
    Well done!
