Default 2018 Bay River Meet And Greet Official Thread

The 2018 RedX Bay River Meet and Greet is going the First Weekend of Oct. Friday 5th thru Sunday until 7th. I know that some like to make it for a few extra days so this will allow for those that need to to get their vacation requests in early.

Can you arrange better weather this year? That wind was brutal last year

Was putting this in my calendar and realized the Monday after is Columbus day, so there may be more people (specifically me) able to stay for the extra day

Even a blind pig roots up a prize sometimes, I will probably be there till late on Monday.....................I remember the wind was very bad Sunday morning but doable the rest of the times. The day we got down it was dead calm. I would appreciate something in between with only a light drizzle one morning and overcast the others.

I am NOT coming this year (wink wink), boy I hate to miss this one, but I figured I'd let you guys have some decent weather this year. Just ignore it if you see a green Gheenoe on the water and a tent that looks just like mine set up in the grass, it must just be a coincidence.

I'm only coming if it's raining a minimum of 1" an hour with sustained winds over 30mph.

    Reverse psychology?

Unfortunately, that means you should call Greg to reserve your spot now.

Maybe things will work out and I’ll make it to this one for a day.

Looking for someone to share costs, I have a 26 ft trailer that I will be bringing. I estimate the cost of Thursday thru Monday to be appx $400.00 for the trip, fuel, food, camping etc. I plan on going up on Thursday 10/4 and returning Monday 10/8. I can carry two kayaks on top of my truck. PM me if interested and we can make phone connection to work out a plan. I live in the Reidsville area, and have space to leave a vehicle while we are gone.

Man I hate to hear this Matt. Now I have all this Tropical rain gear I bought to bring to meets you attend that will probably never be used.
