Default French Broad or ??? In/near Asheville?

Wife, son and I are headed to Asheville tomorrow to look around for work purposes. Any decent bank spots on a river that we could maybe get into a few smallies? Not looking for super secret locations, just looking for easy access on the riverfront. Thanks everybody!

The Greenway on Amboy Rd. Follow Hwy. 251 out of Asheville and there are several Parks and pull offs.

The farther you get from Ashevegas (North) the more riffles you'll find. Try Bent Creek park by the NC Arboretum.

If the FB is too muddy from yesterday's rain, you can try Lake Julian in Arden. Head to the backside of the lake near Arden Presbyterian Church (off Hendersonville Rd.) or go the main Lake Park off of Long Shoals Rd. and rent a paddle boat and explore the lake.
