Default seat on kaboat, perch fishing hickory

Feel free to send me a pm or reply here, I frequently fish lake hickory from a kaboat an have a spare seat. All you have to do is help with setup and tear down of the boat, and I can put you on lots of perch. I'm a christian angler so looking for someone with similar values to fish with and share the catch. I know those perch need thinned in lake hickory. Check the piedmont fishing page for pictures of my hickory catches.

I'm leaving to visit family in Virginia tomorrow, i'll be back in NC Jan 2nd. We will go sometime in new years! You will like the mods I did with the boat, nice to have swivel chairs mounted. Much more comfortable than standard yak fishing.

I just got back from my holiday travels and will be hitting hickory again. This time of year into mid spring is the best time to load up on bigger white perch. Send me a pm if you'd like to catch a mess of those delicious critters.

Hickory main channel is high, trashy, and muddy, right now. When are you planning on making a return trip? I will go by the creek your fishing and check it out.

Probably not until next week. With all the rain we are getting on friday, I cant imagine things looking good. Then again, I did tear them perch up in the muddy water last time. I am hoping to go on wed. next week.

I get off on Monday morning I will go by on the way home and give it a good looking over. I am probably fishing with a buddy on Tuesday so if you have a spare seat and decide to come down I will lay claim to it for Wed.

Good news Darrell! Barring any disastrous weather i'll see you out there next week. Get ready to load up with freezer with an all you can eat perch buffet.

I'm going to take another perch trip this week, weather dependant of course. I am looking for an overcast day, that's what gets the perch acting reckless. And of course the lake can't look like chocolate milk.

That's good news. Once we have a warming trend and an overcast day, I can pack a cooler tightly with perch. Thanks for the intel darrell!

Let me know it rained some and the main channel looked good but I was just told that Rhodhiss was dirty. So there may be mud coming down through Gunpowder. I can ride out and look on the way home
