I just noticed by the join date in in your post that it is your ten year tenure as the doctor. Congrats!

This is looking more and more fun! First real camping trip of the year.

I will have to hit road early Sunday... Meeting some friends to attend a revolutionary war reenactment at Guilford Courthouse.
After all is said and done.... A heck of a lot more will be said than done

Would be extra outstanding if we got weather like we had this week.

Weather is fantastic here in Florida at Fort Desoto fellas. Temp 83 degrees and a nice ocean breeze. Heading back to the cold tomorrow, and may I say I知 not looking forward to leaving warm temps and saltwater breezes.

Weather like this week would be fantastic. Went to the pond by my house this week. Bass and crappie were biting.

Sadly the report is no fishing was involved this time. Went to see Mother in-law who fell broke her wrist and hurt her back. I was able to get away for a short time and do some exploring for upcoming camping / fishing trip. 2 weeks from today we will be setting up camp for 4 days of kayak / pier / surf fishing. Hope to have a good report of fish being caught and some pics then. If we have the temps and weather conditions I just left it will be some awesome camping and fishing weather.

Local report from bait shop was reds, flounder, Trout and a snook were being caught in channel of the pic I posted.

You will have 2 reports from Fort Desoto John. I was able to book a waterfront site just 3 days after the Kerr Scott Meet. Going to be specifically looking to hook in to a nice Tarpon.

Getting closer to the first camping freshwater meet of the year. Hoping the weather pattern changes from this deluge of rain we have been having.

I have a sloping lot, downhill from front to back, with a relatively flat spot near the very back. That part of the yard has not completely dried out even once since Florence.

I have the same wet problem going on in my yard. I have clay soil and just walking to the back building is nothing but mush. I usually keep my kayaks in the building but now they sit beside the house so I can use them.

Most years, that spot in my yard is dry most of the time. The hill continues across the street from me. When it is a rain or two, even heavy ones, in a short period of time it's just runoff from my yard and the water from the rest of the hill goes down the storm drain. But when we have soaking rains off and on for a while, it affects the water table and some of it is going under the road and perking up in my yard. Crazy stuff!

I sure hope the wet weather will ease up soon. From what I understand the campground is on a higher elevation from the water. I知 hoping that the lake level and flow will have eased up by the time we get there. On another note is anyone going to the Greensboro fishing show this weekend? I知 going on Saturday
