I know of no restrictions on boats so you should be good. Everyone will be in a kayak but once in awhile someone brings a boat.

Nah. And there's a boat launch at the campground.

My wife and I will be on Site 5 again this year.

Dr H. PLEASE don't bring that fresh apple juice along for the group meal, it's too dangerous (I'll be on site 5 where I can properly dispose of it). And secondly, we made cabbage last year, I think (my memory isn't what it used to be), will have to give it some thought about what to do this year unless everybody loved the cabbage. Maybe a fresh batch of collard greens?

Look forward to seeing everybody there.

My memory failed me. I volunteered to make the fish nuggets on behalf of, and in honor of Dr. H since he was otherwise obligated and could not attend the meet last year. That being said, "Preparation H" was a rousing success even though I think I only made about 7 nuggets due to lack of "fish cooperation".

For starters my friend let me state that 'otherwise obligated' sucks when you miss Kerr Scott. Possibly the pain would be reduced if I was fishing elsewhere. Alas, my memory has failed also. I'm confident there will be ample donations this year for frying. Thanks for carrying on the tradition last year!

Fishing the river below the Spillway has its opportunities for spots, smallies, chain pikerel, largemouth and trout!

I plan to make the Saturday float and award ceremony. When do we start talking about the food?

I will bring a dessert for the group meal, either a Chocolate Texas sheet cake or Apple Brandy Banana cake.

Jcsn: If you check Google Map satellite you can see the landing to the left just past the guard house. If you want to float the river we might be able to come up with a spare yak or two.
As far as lake fishing, I have done best with skinny finesse worms with no weight through the day. Topwater on the points early and late. I also have witnessed the CPR of possibly the Worlds Record Spotted Bass off of a deep point using a spinnerbait.

Ev, "LAW SON" in my best Jerry Reid impersonation
John, a little apple everyday, the Dr's away, and if the doctor brings it along well what a recomendation ofr our continued good health.

Grey, no need to express my feelings about either dessert.

    Len, Wilma will be attending.

And lastly Ray, thanks for posting that great picture of Bobby and Katrina. I hope she will be able to come see us sometime during the weekend.

Thanks for the info. No need for the yak as both of my boats are small and float in only a few inches of water.
