Iíll either be there Thursday night or Friday before first light. Cody and Jason and I caught 40ish fish yesterday out of vandemere, best fishing was up the river towards the narrows but not in them. We fished all day for that number too and it was 101 reelfeel temp - Reelfeel as in ďIím really feeling it todayĒ. We didnít keep too many but I will say the ratio of keeper to shorts was probably 4:1 and we all met or exceeded our limit. Iím hopeful that some lows in the 60ís this week and cool highs this weekend will make for some crazy good fishing or at least keep the bugs at bay.

Bay river m and g week is upon us!

I was going to come in Thursday, but seeing the low that night is mid 70's I'll sleep at home and head out early Friday morning. I'm over tent saunas for the year. High of 75 Saturday!

Great cooler forecast after Thursday...low to no chance of rain until Sunday night, overnights in the low 60’s, mid-70’s on Saturday and 80-ish on Sunday. North winds might be a little stout, maybe 15-20 so if you are in a tent plan ahead with extra stakes and lines. Otherwise, weather looking good.

Leaving the top off the Marmot and having a fan makes a big difference at night.

Broke my big toe last night courtesy of a sheet of 1\2" plywood dropping on it. Pretty nasty. Crocs are NOT suitable PPE! Won't stop me from fishing Lockwood Folly this weekend though.

Yeah, it is going to be tough on those of you arriving early. I am glad for the major cool down...I just hope this front does not turn off the fishing.

Ouch! Did they tape your toes together, put you in a boot, or give you a walking cast?? In any case, you deserve at least one extra adult beverage.

I slammed my finger in a tool box yesterday. I saw something sticking out and not wanting to break it tried to grab it and my business partner slammed the lid down in my finger. Turns out what I was trying to rescue was the plastic wrapper that our safety glasses comes in. So naturally I blamed the PPE for my near broke finger.

I didnít bother going to the doc. Iíve broken toes before (including this same one). Not much they can do for it. In fact I finished my project after it happened. Hereís the gratuitous pic of it today. My apologies to anyone currently eating...
