Default Anyone Else Make Their Own Poppers

I'm been in the middle of making poppers for the upcoming Bass/Bream fishing trips for the summer. I got a Copic marker airbrush. I have been experimenting with different things to use as templates for different patterns.
So far, I have found that a comb is good for making gills and a cut out corner of a small mesh bag makes a really nice Frog pattern on the body. Is anyone else making poppers?

I posted these pics back in 2017. https://www.ncangler.com/forums/thre...hlight=poppers

Poppers are a lot of fun to make and to fish. Very nice work on yours.

Freehand with an air brush, but I use small nylon mesh for the scale patterns. My skills with an air brush are pretty meager. Some guys can do magic with them. I've got several balsa poppers waiting for a paint job in the garage, but I haven't made the time to get to them yet.

Yea,I'm having to rely on templates for all of my patterns. My airbrush skills are WAY LESS than meager. Besides that, the Copic airbrush isnt as accurate as a real airbrush and isn't good for small/fine details.
