They were in Hatteras last week- sight casting from the boat. I'd be looking to see them on the beach anytime

I've been hearing of a lot of catches from up around Oregon Inlet, so the water may have warmed up early enough they went right past us here around MHC.

They typically show up in Hatteras a little bit earlier than here because of the way the land juts out into the ocean there-- closer to the Gulf Stream. There are some around down here. A guy weighed a 70 pounder in at Chasing Tails in MHC weekend before last.

Last year that seemed to happen to us on the Crystal Coast. There were a few caught but not as many as the years before and then it was just on up north on the OBX. Been seeing great reports from up there already and just a few around here so you may be right Mumbo.

They are already gone. Donít waste your time or effort. In fact, itís best you save the gas and stay home.

Went out last week nothing but big rays. MHC Fun to catch but disappointing. didnt see any bait balls. Saw a couple guides with photos of some. Maybe a little late. I seem to miss the bite each year because of work.
