Default Mixing up a Bass Fishing Scent.

What element to add to a fish scent to solidify a bit more like a stiff jelly form?

I know corn starch would thicken a water based mixture. This scent mixture, I believe is not a water based mixture. The fish scent I have is Pro Formula Smelly Jelly which in it's cooler stage is a semi solid state. As it warms it transforms to a real thick liquid. I'm wanting to find an additive or way to keep this scent in the thick paste consistency much longer. Now I will take a bit and try it and see if it works though.

Pectin, but you must heat in order to have it gel up.

Keep it in the cooler and it will stay thick until you put it on your baits. Once it is on the plastic it will stink forever. Can also put some in your bags of plastic and the scent will surely stay on them if they are in it for hours, days or weeks.

I have had good results mixing in about 20% bees wax.

Thanks guys for your suggestions. I went to Hobby Lobby and found Gel Wax. Using a heat blow gun to melt the gel wax and mix with my scent and pour in my containers I got to try yesterday and all went well. My mixture scent stays on the bait much better and did catch a few fish. now to find That Big Girl.
