    Default Hickory 6/19.

Water is stained enough to be excellent. The lake however is still dangerous and will be for a while.

I started with a 1.5 square bill and was culling bass by 7am.
Ned worked well on the new trees the storm dumped in the water. Rain slowed the bite so I switched to wacky rigged black squirrel tail worms and caught the 2 best of the day.

I even caught white perch on my well worn 1.5 deep strike king. No pictures of the best 2, phone died. Great day for sure.

Your reports are the bulk of the Piedmont reports lately, Gene... keep 'em coming! Nice job keeping on the fish and thanks for continuing to share!

Early praise...I got up at 430, didn't go straight to the shower and woke up 6 hours later.

OK, there was something about winds 20 to 35 today that I heard on NOAA.

I really was tired from dodging mines on the water yesterday. That and getting impaled again slowed me down in my senior days? And no I did not go to urgent care this time. I tried the KVD fishing line removal but I cut off too much hook. Besides the fish were biting so I just grabbed the hook with my pliers and yanked, hard. Got it out and no one on the lake to hear my screams.

Any size to the perch? The ones I caught on rhodhiss were small.
