Rough start to the day today. Put the boat in the water and the cranking battery was dead. I put in at Linville so I just dropped the trolling motor and fished the riprap beside the dock, and then up the east bank to the rocky points.
Caught four largemouths before daylight, nothing over a pound or pound and a half. The last one paid me back by sinking a treble hook in my hand past the barb.
Once I got that out, I fished on around the point and then back to the dock, without another hit. I went ahead and called it a day about 0830 or so.
Time to mow grass now.
