What are the best size and style of knives for inshore fishing. Target fish are Flounder, Trout, Red and Black drum. What are some good brands of knives to get.
I like the cheap regrind knives they sell at tackle shops cheap. THey are cast offs from meat processors and do great. Dig thru and find longer ones for fish ccleaning or stubby for bait cutting. Some shops have scissors too.
Dexter Russell makes all kinds of fillet and fish knives. Made in USA with white plastic handle and good Japanese steel at very good prices. You can find them on Amazon or restaurant supply houses.
I like my old Buck 121 Fisherman (unfortunately replaced by the Buck 121 Guide - which comes with a thicker blade). The old ones are out there though. OH
