Default Good day on the PAM

Made the trip to the Pamlico today with expectations of catching a few flounder. Wind started fairly light but pick up as the morning went on. Even though flatties were our primary target I couldn’t resist trying a couple of trout holes just to see if anyone was hungry. And boy were they hungry. We started right off catching trout and even when the wind picked up and it felt like we were in a washing machine, we still caught trout. We quit counting at fifty, mostly shorts but we did finish our limit about 8:30. Then we turned our attention to our intended quarry. We found some flounder but not in great numbers probably around 20 but did manage 5 keepers. Also along the way we caught 7 short reds and even a short black drum. We gave in to the heat at 12:00, not bad for 6 hours on the water. Everything was caught on plastic in a variety of colors.
