    Default Canoe rental fishing

I want to do an overnight float with my 6yo and fish along the way (catfish and bream). I don’t have my own canoe so was wondering if anyone could provide insight on a good float/fish/canoe rental? Thanks Matthew

You didn't say where, but if you don't mind going to the mountains, New River Outfitters near Jefferson will rent you a canoe for a great little smallmouth float.

There is a nice float in campground on the New at Alleghany Access. Absolutely beautiful float. https://www.reserveamerica.com/explo...mpsite-booking

Dustin is a member here and a great guy. A couple weeks ago a group of us would have been trapped on the river in a bad thunderstorm but Dustin was waiting on a bridge in the middle of the float and pulled us off just in time.
