    Default W. Kerr Scott 09/04/2019

A pretty good day on Kerr Scott Wednesday. Got on the water at 9:30AM morning low was 67 but warmed up quickly on the water. Water surface temps were back to 82 everywhere we fished. The bite was slow until midday. Caught two 11 inch crappie on minnows first hour and then nothing other than a few 4-6" bluegill on worms. We could see fish on the surface near the bank as they snapped up water bugs, so I began targeting them. We'd pitch a minnow (no sinker) among the bugs and got some nice strikes. When the shade extended 30 feet from the western banks the catfish bite was on. Caught a fair number of 12" blues and one that was 24" long.

Please Don't block the ramp or the dock. My pontoon and crew cab require a wide berth.
