    Default Mullet minnows

The place we rented this weekend at the Straits had a lagoon out back that was loaded with mullet minnows. Im coming back the end of October, assuming they are still here, what species is best to target with this bait live and as cutbait. They were 4-6 in size. Thanks

Flounder, but the season is closed. Next up is red drum and speckle trout. Carolina rigs for reds and corks for trout, milage may vary.

I catch bluefish and trout with live mullet under a popin cork or on a carolina rig. I catch more flounder with mullet on a jig.

Sorry for such a lats response back. I fish them live as long as I can keep them alive- then I fish them whole but dead. If I get short strikes or no strikes- then I will cut them in half
