Got an email yesterday from Sound Rivers reporting a fish kill around Blount's Creek.
"As of yesterday, reports of a fish kill on the Pamlico near Goose Creek State Park and Blount's Creek were confirmed by the state. According to their investigation report, approximately 144,183 menhaden died. Aphanomyces invadans, a water mold, is suspected as the cause of the fish kill. "
I've seen this several times over the last 6 years since I've been in NC. How does this affect fishing? I suppose the crabs love it.
