    Default Dock success?

I posted a question in the heat of summer about fishing a dock behind a beach house I visited. Got some great advice and caught a slot drum by flipping a gulp shrimp around the posts. Im heading down again this weekend and was wondering if this is still a good technique for this time of year or if I need to change it up.

With the fan on high speed last week, we needed to hide from it.
Saw a few Reds under, around & thru a dock on Wed. Even caught one on a Gulp.
If you can see them they will eat....ICM

Very cool! Is it possible to catch trout doing the same thing?

Off a dock on Friday I caught 2 flounders (returned) and a tripletail. Casting a jig, several trout, a sea mullet and bluefish. It's a great time of year with good variety.
