Default Odd fish injury ( caution, graphic image)

Early this summer I was sheepshead fishing near a bridge and caught this guy. The injury’s in its head seemed off and more parasitic possibly than from a predator. Possible someone learning to spearfish but have never seen anyone in my area spearing.

I was winding if anyone else had any insight

Never seen an injury like that. You could probably email it to a biologist with the DMF and maybe they could tell you more.

There is more than 1 injury site. Looks like the fish had been hit by a prop.

Spear pole? Maybe unscrewed the point and let the fish go when they realized how small it was.......?
