Although the wind was blowing about 15+ yesterday, my buddy and I were able to fish the private lake where he lives (Sunset Lake--Holly Springs) from 11:00 - 3:00. Water temp ranged from 65 - 72 and was stained. After trying buzzbaits and spinnerbaits, we went to our old reliable Zoom and Berkley Powerbait lizards and worms (Junebug and Watermelon Green.) Caught 10 bass up to 4.5 lbs and one 10 lb+ snapping turtle (was able to cut the line 'cuz he was angry!) The trolling motor battery died just as we neared the launch site, so all was good. Was nice to catch a few after Shearon Harris smoked us on Tuesday.

Congrats on a nice day. Private ponds are a real treat.

Didn’t realize Sunset lake was private but nice job. Wind was terrible yesterday tried some bank fishing but given only seems like, plastic,is,working was hard to work bait. Hit a small pond and got one on a ned rig. The bass was hanging around what looked like a bed took 20 tries to get it to hit the rig. Saturday morning early missed one on a popper and landed four on worm but lost a pig when she ran into a log and cut my line
