As background, I do not get out to fish much, but have been out a few times now during the stay at home orders. Fished often as a kid up until my mid 20s, mostly up in NJ. Sparingly last 10 years or so but think I've got one of my boys hooked and hope to get out more often now.
Beatty has been tough sledding for a few weeks now. Tuesday was a cool start - temps in 40's under changeable skies and very light and variable wind. Worked the south and southwest banks for several hours with my youngest. Tossed finesse worms, buzzbait, even a frog in the muck. Managed only a two-pounder on a pop-r, about 10AM. Was fishing west side, casting along the bank and hit was super aggressive. Son got a few soft takes on the finesse worm early on (0700), but not much else. Banks and shallows loaded with fry / fingerlings.
