    Default Yaupon Reef

Hey everyone, my name is Ray and I'm new here. Been fishing all my life but began kayak fishing about two years ago. I've always been wanting to get it in the ocean so me and a few friends are headed to Oak Island next weekend with the hope of headed to Yaupon if the weather cooperates. Where is the best place if any to unload and park a truck with trailer? Has anyone fished the area lately and had any success?

Might try E Beach and 40th...small parking lot across/opposite beach access and don't think its a problem, but don't hold me to it. Guess you could un-hitch and take up two spots in the public spots? Not sure whats best with a trailer. Good luck!

Thanks I appreciate the help. Weather looks like it's not going to be good but hopefully we can get a little bit of fishing in.
