    Default Where is everybody?

I have been away for a while and now I see that most everyone is gone. What happened? Where is everybody?

Not.a lot going on with the Covid 19 virus still around. A couple annual Red X Meets was a bust due to campground closers. Then some good posters moved to Facebook.

I've been lurking around this forum a couple years and just now figured out how to post 😂

Forum is on life support. I think it's a combo of all the rain the past couple of years, the platform being outdated, and participation being discouraged by some. Plus there are always way more guests on here lurking than members.

Plus it's been almost a year since there was a post award. Seems admins have mostly checked out as well.

I still check in a little. I believe a lot of the members are communicating via Facebook. Did you get up to the Ararat this year?

On Facebook groups trying to locate those background pictures. Seriously heard that some of the posters here felt unwelcome and don’t post here any longer. Use the history here and you will not find a better resource for fishing knowledge.

I certainly agree. I have witnessed twice in the last few months where some one was questioned why repost old posts in order to ask a question. Instead of politely answering the question they were told what they shouldnt have done. Think they'll be back?

Top posters got sick of 34 registered users on line and 443 non registered users internet scouting all the best spots without contributing anything............

    Yeah. That helps.

Teach a man to fish and he'll give away all your good spots.

What I've found helps is calling chicken shitt when you see it and making it chicken salad as you see fit

Sitting on the sofa watching reruns. Went out yesterday and the water temp was 87.5-89.0. Water was nasty and stunk to high heaven. No bites at all so just rode and looked, explored. Got prop caught in a crab pot in 2.5 feet of water. The pot as marked but had about 10’ of rope. After loosing a lot of blood I got it off prop. Sorry about the loss of the pot.
Probably no more post until flounder season. 21/2 hour drive to productive waters and no restaurant is open for breakfast at 4am between here and the sound. Might drive down to the coast and fish some tide water.
