Finally got back onto Shearon Harris after a 4 month layoff. Heard that the bite was on using cranks, so we threw cranks (mostly rattle traps). Nothing. Tired them on points, in the mouth of the bays, and along the bull rushes. Went back to the tried and true spinner baits and got 4 ranging from 2 - 5 pounds. Biggest came off of a point while the others were caught in the bays along the banks, boat sitting in 8 - 10 feet of water. Water temp was steady at 85 and visibility was good. Launching and loading at the ramp was no problem -- arrived at 6:30 a.m. and left around 1:00 p.m.
