    Default Beaverdam Lake

Few trips this week. Crankbaits and spinners are working.

Nice work! Beaverdam is a tough lake, I can always catch something, but usually not always what I'm looking for. I've never caught a pickerel, bowfin, flathead, or white bass there yet. Last trip was all sunfish, crappie, bass, and channel cats.

Thanks. I’m finding that my catch ratio has more small channel cats than anything else. They are willing biters.

For sure, anytime I use live bait it's mini-channel cat city. I've also run into a few tiny blue catfish. There has to be some big cats in there somewhere. I can always pull some bass out, but man do you have to work for them!

Iím not a live bait fisherman. Iím not opposed to it I just donít like the hassle of getting it and maintaining it.

Almost every cat I have caught has been on an in-line spinner. A few on jigs but 90% spinners.

    Couple of fish from today.

These were on the same crankbait.
