Default Topwater fun with no sun

Been slack on the fishing since COVID. Fortunate enough to have the work loaf actually pick up since all this has happened but managed to make it out with my pops to my favorite oyster rock last evening. He worked a zman while I struggled to tie leaders and jigs on loosing two poor knots ( it had been a while).

Fished from 8-9 on an out going tide with bait every were. As soon as pops put down the rod I got a nice spec and drum back to back before we headed to the hill. Both on a top dog 808. Thought I had finally got my monster summer trout until I got the red in the boat in the dark.

Hope everyone is doing well and having a little luck too!

Nice fish. Topwater at dark sounds like the perfect social-distancing activity.

Ya man, actually there was one canoe out with me. Can’t beat it!
