    Default Beaverdam 7/25/20

I took advantage of the break in the heat and got a little fishing in.

I launched my Hobie at daybreak and was off the water at 11. I managed to catch a number of small channel cats, one jack and a good size largemouth.

Water temps were low 80s, light winds and overcast/drizzle were the conditions.

Crankbaits and in-line spinners did the damage and most of my fish were caught in 10+ ft of water. The hot lure was a chartreuse Bandit Rackit crank.

My camera had some water on it and yes my arms are extended but the bass measured out at +/- 21 inches. I didnít get an exact measurement.

nice fish. Did you fish upper part or lower part of the lake?

I fished this lake several times so far. Spring time was fantastic. In hot days, I had good luck at upper part of lake. but often hit and miss at lower part. Every weekend was crazy and I never saw before.

I’m not sure what the upper or lower part of the lake is. I launch from the primitive launch off of Old Weaver Rd. I rarely fish north of the bridge that divides the lake. I guess that is upper and lower. I’ll fish all the water south of the bridge.
