    Default Trent River

I know a lot of people head down and out of Lawson Creek, but do trout/reds ever make it further up the river? I mainly fish from River Bend to Trent Woods and have only caught catfish and eels.

Trout definitely do. May be a tad early for that area yet.

Great thanks. I had heard January on the trout so I guess we'll find out. Haven't been in this area long and just trying to figure out what to target. Seems like most fishing our dock are going for crappie so it seems to be quite broad of species.

I paddled my kayak from river bend last winter and caught trout. The area where the river makes a hard right turn

Gotcha. Sounds like I just need to wait a bit longer. Appreciate the feedback.

Some years the Trent is good trout fishing, other years it isn’t. All depends on the weather. Last year was a phenomenal year up river, time will tell what this year will be.
