Can anyone recommend a good charter captain to catch strippers in April in Weldon? Not seeing a lot online. Anyone who’s taken a trip or knows a captain some guidance would be awesome. Thanks guys

Here is a link of a great guide. Joey is a buddy of mine and an awesome guide. He’s always fished Weldon in the spring in past years so I would assume he will this year. Give him a call.
Captain, all you need is a good private worth his weight in salt. A good place for strippers is Toby's right across from New River Air Station in Jacksonville off 117S.
OK... just for record.. I did not start this...![]()

My first choice would be Greg Go Fish, you can find him on FB but he has only 2 trips left on Mother's Day. Choice 2 would http://tarpamguide.com/last-openings...021-in-weldon/
Really all you need is a boat, some money to purchase some shad for sale near the boat ramp and go any time from the last 5 days of April to May 10 and you can catch them. Even this greenhorn catches enough to have a good day.
Captain Mitch Blake, FishIBX great guy and will put you on fish.

Richard Andrews, [email protected]
He’s fishing the lower Roanoke now and will move upstream with the fish.
They've been named above but I too recommend Capt Richard Andrews or Capt Mitchell Blake. They are both top notch. If you haven't tried it before and have the time and money take a trip about a month before stripers for hickory shad.
If I were you- I'd save my $$$$ and just go. All you need is some live bait and you can pretty much be your own guide. Fish when they are there are in the thousands and anyone and everyone is catching them. No special know-how needed .
Strippers FTW!
But what does this have to do with fishing??
