Everglades Peacock Bass Fest

When the Thanksgiving lunch was over, I headed south to the glades with a canoe, a fly rod, and a Go Pro.

The saltwater fish were few and far between so I decided to catch my first peacock bass.

I flat got into them. Nothing huge but those things fight like a smallie.

I caught so many I had to divide the "Peacock Fest" into 3 videos.

It starts a little slow but then the action gets crazy.

My brother and I are going to Miami next month. How accessible are shore fishing spots for a complete south Florida newb?

I didn't fish in Miami but just right outside but I understand there are lots of canals and ponds that have public access and I have heard that they all contain peacocks.

Just get on YouTube and search for Miami peacocks and you will see just how easy it is to access water.
