Default Harris Lake 1/1/12 personal best

Got to the ramp at 10am saw joeyb unloading when we were launching... hooked one right off and the line broke. Then the fish started hitting first was 4lb2oz, then a 7lb1oz! then a 3lb3oz and a 6lb4oz and lost a good one after that on a jump. Makes me wonder how big the one that broke my line was. I was using an old school quantum pro1c with 8lb trilene, a fenwick crankshaft rod with a norman chartreuse/blue 17ft deep diver. The fish were in 25ft and water temp was around 52 deg. The wind was terrible and wave were swamping my boat constantly.

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day,Teach a man to fish, and you can sell him a ton of fishing supplies.

Really nice job from a yak...concidering the wind out there today! How did your buddies make out?

I caught a few LM's...but non bigger than 3 lbs. Tried for Crappie w/artificials...but the wind and waves were a little too much.

I have that same Quantum reel, think I bought it at wal-mart almost 20 years ago. Brings back memories for sure!

Congratulations! How deep do you suppose that crankbait was running? I'm lost fishing deep water as I've not yet adopted the fancy high tech. electronic gadgetry approach.

So many rivers... so little time. Long may you run.

The norman dives to 20ft at least depending on how much line you let out it was hitting bottom at 25ft at times... and that reel was given to me new in box last spring .... brand new vintage!
