Pros: This book is diverse in the subject matter that Im glad to own in my collection. I took the time to put an archival book jacket cover over the books dust jacket for protection. I recommend a buy on this out of print book. Yes its an old book, 1981, but not a cookie cutter or typical fish cleaning book out there in the market today. Why I like the book is the unique bundle of information all packaged in ONE BOOK. Covering clams, mussels and crabs on how to catch, prepare and cook. Smoking, pickling and canning your catch. Keeping the roe, from making caviar to tying spawn sacks for bait. How to strop the blade on your filet knives. Just to name a few examples. Photographs.
Check your used book stores in your neck of the woods and internet to get a copy.

Thanks for posting this. I just found it for under $5 delivered from a used bookseller via Amazon. It may be 30 year old info, but I bet I learn a few things. I need to learn a few new ways to cook fish and I know I could do a better job prepping and freezing.
