    Default Mepps Comet Mino Lure

    Mepps Comet Mino Lure
    Mepps Worlds #1 Lure
    Hand assembled in the USA
    www.mepps.com

“The Comet Mino is one of Mepps most popular lures. It will catch just about any fish that swims. Bassmaster magazine named the Comet Mino one of the 10 best bass lures of all time. All Comet Minos are carefully airbrushed to ensure realism. Their erratic swimming action makes them appear to be a wounded bait fish.

Comet Minos comes in sizes #00 through #5. A #00 is an Ultra Lite spinner. In fact, you can get the #5 Comet Mino with either a 3" or 4" Mino.

Comet Minos are perfect for casting or trolling. Gold blades are polished brass. Silver blades are genuine silver plated. Painted blades feature a proprietary blend of epoxy and acrylic finishes. All Mepps Comet Minos run at mid-depth.”

Blade size #0 (1/9 oz) up to #4 (7/16 oz) and #5 (varies)
    Mino size 1 ¼” up to 4”
Blade color Gold, gold red white, hot firetiger, silver
    Mino color Rainbow trout, shad
    Price $6.45 - $9.80

May the holes in your net be no larger than the fish in it. Irish Blessing

Pros: versatile lure; easy to use
good bass lure; i imagine like most smaller spinners that lots of species will hit it

Cons: New ones bend kinda easy.
Pros: I still have some NIB made in France from the late sixties and early seventys. The price tag says $2.17.
Great for bluegills but I don't like using trebles on them so I have to switch em out to a #4 or #6 hook. Always crush the barbs so the bluegills will be there next week.
