Pros: I usually don’t start out using this lure bank fishing at Jordan. Start with plastics for LMB or jigs for crappie. When they fail I fight off the skunk with a Beetle Spin. I can usually catch small LMB, channel cats, white perch or bream with the lure to save the fishing trip. Some days the crappies prefer the flash or vibration from the Beetle Spin compared to a jig. Usually use the nickel color blade and 1/8 or 1/16 oz size. Like to take off the plastic that comes with the lure and add a 2” curly tail grub or tie chart. buck tail onto the hook.
Easy to catch a citation bream using this lure.

    Default beetle spin

    Price Paid: app. 1.50
    Recommended: Yes
Pros: versatile lure that will catch lots of species
these lures work great; a steady retrieve or jigging it while retrieving will work; also, you can take the jig head and grub without the spinner component also works great if you just jig it on the retrieve

    Default Beetle Spin

    Price Paid: 1.59
    Recommended: Yes
Pros: Easy to Fish and very versatile
I Love the Beetle Spin two of my biggest Bass were caught on the 1/4 oz white grub with red head. 7lbs and 11 lbs 7lb was caught at Falls Lake and the 11lb Bass was caught at Jordan. I started out fishing them in ponds and when I started fishing in the bigger lakes after many days of fishing spinner baits and weorms and Crankbaits wwith minimum luck I switched back to my ole Beetle Spin and Boom started catching more fish with them than any other bait in my tackle Box. They are great for slow trolling in lakes that your not familiar with and locating fish. The small Black grub with the yellow stripes on its back are great for panfish.

Default anything will eat a beetle spin

Price Paid: around a $1.25 last time I bought one
    Recommended: Yes
Cons: I usually change the body, but that may just be something in my head.
Pros: not very expensive; never found one that didn't work as designed; great selection of sizes:
Don't ask BigLenr's opinion that beetle spins for some reason have not been as friendly to him as they have to rest of us.

A yellow with black stripe Beetle Spin and a white with black dots Shyster were the first lures that I ever bought. I should fish both more than I do
