in the middle is where my live bait tank will stay. but i will only use it when im paddling out to my spots. ontop of my crate with crate bag is my other live bait tank. i also made two rod holed extensions and put them in the exisiting rod holder holes. the exisiting ones were too large and i couldnt have my crate in the back. i threaded some 550 cord through a hole and tied it off and put a carabiner on them for temporary rod leashes until i make some bungee ones. i also tied some 550 cord through two of the pad eyes on the side and thats where i keep my scissors knife and golfing towel.

in the very back is where i keep my pfd. i know i should wear it but im never out in waters where i wouldnt be ale to swim in but i do always keep one just in case and since its the law. i also have my net attached to my crate with a pool noodle i cut to keep it floating incase if i ever accidently drop it. i can always go grab it.

    Epik,
Can you get all the way up front to get in the cooler while floating? I am afraid to go up that far on my Striker haha. I only use the front bungee for holding my paddle while I'm fishing

Does the portable one work enough to get by? I looked at them for a while but I figured they didn't work. I'm not asking if it works great, but basically is it better then nothing? Because it's this or nothing in my price range

yea i can get all the way to the front with no worries. i tested it out with out the cooler there when i first took it out. have you tried flipping your striker to see the full range you can have before flipping? thats what i did. and that thing can get almost sideways before it flips. As for the fish finder yea it works fine for me. i do want an up graded one though. i seriously only use it to see the depth. the fish alarm goes off way to much. anything floating in the water triggers it. so you may be paddling out and think omg look at all these fish. but in reality its tree branches and or debris.

before and after for my cart. before i was afraid of how my kayak sat on it so i notched two things of pvc pipe and covered them with pool noodles. tied em to my cart and now it sits better and holds way better. even pulled it and was jumping my ditch and curb with it on lol. had to make sure.

Here are some pics of my two yaks a Slayer 14.5 and a Big Rig. I all ways have my black pack with me but other than that it is simple no fish finder because i fish inshore most of the time so no need for one. I use a plow anchor and a stick it pin.

i had never even giving fishing from a kayak a thought until i found this website a couple of months ago, so after constantly talking about kayaks and looking at them all of the time my wife bought me one last weekend. wishing i would've went with an open model with a high seat for comfort but i will get there eventually. i have been out on it twice, haven't caught anything while fishing from it yet but i know it will happen soon.Click image for larger version.
