Here's my basic fishing rig - Lifetime tandem fishing kayak (heavy, but super stable), cooler (tacklebox inside it for launching), trolling motor on mount (built for this model), 2 batteries in secured bag.

Also have a home-made carrier, built on a bicycle child carrier chassis. That needs improving (still tinkering), but it was good for the 550 yard trek to the water along the service road at Bodie Island Lighthouse.

My SUP, set up for fishing. Kneeling to mess with gear, but sometimes sitting on cooler. This is out at Yaupon Reef about a mile and a half offshore from Oak Island. I have a low profile "crate" with rod holders, a soft cooler with tackle, the hard cooler and a fish bag. BTW, I am wearing a belt with an inflatable PFD (cartridge and ripcord). You can see that better in the second picture.

Getting ready to launch at Topsail near the Jolly Roger Pier. There is a strap all the way around that keeps the rods on the deck with the fish bag over them; the other end goes through an opening in my rod holder setup. The strap comes off once I am through the breakers.

My Discovery 158. Installed a center seat for solo fishing. Super stable and comfortable. Loving it!

My first kayak was a 2010 Hobie Revo with a stand N fish setup, great for site fishing inshore. I upgraded to a 2013 Hobie Pro Angler.

I actually have two kayaks, a Hobie outback and perception pescador 10. But I used this most of time. I fished with this one from mountain stream, lakes to inshore fishing.

Lifetime tandem fishing kayak, w/ trolling motor (for when current, wind, waves wear me out). Recently added anchor trolley w/ 10-lb mushroom anchor w/ milk jug at top end to find it if I detach in case I hook something that'll pull me around (fantasy, so far!). It's a solid, stable platform, hardest part of using it is hefting it up on top of the car. Had it about 2 years now, like to take it to Goose Creek.
